Liturgical Ministries:
Sub-group | About |
Altar Servers | Both children and adults have an opportunity to be Altar servers. This could be a great family ministry. |
Sacristans | If you have a respect for others, use discretion and appropriate decorum, and are noted for care to the assembly, you may be someone who should be a Sacristan. |
Choir | If you like to sing, consider joining the choir. You do not need to read music. |
Ushers/Greeters | Ushers and Greeters help create a welcoming environment and make people feel important. |
Lectors | Being a lector is a meaningful way to actively participate in the liturgy by proclaiming the Word of God; essentially you are acting as a "voice of God" for those at Mass |
Eucharistic Ministers | A Eucharistic Minister is a great way to draw strength from the faithful, grow in devotion, give back to the parish, and aides in our personal desire to become more like Christ's body and blood. |
Faith Formation
Opportunities for members of our parish from families to individuals of all ages to grow and enrich their faith lives

Charitable Outreach:
Food Bank | The Food Bank serves those in our community who have food insecurity. Many hands make light work; if you will like to help and are available one day per month, we would love to have you. |
Pleasant Valley Breakfast Ministry | A part of the Northside Common Ministries, Ladies of Charity provide lunch once a month |
St. Vincent DePaul Society | The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP) helps the poor and suffering. You can make a difference with as little as two hours a month. |
Bereavement Ministry | The Bereavement Ministry consists of parish volunteers who are compassionate listeners united in Christ. We help parishioners as they navigate through the grieving process and offer ideas for coping with the loss of a loved one. |
Environmental and Decorating Ministry | This ministry is a great way to actively contribute to the parish by visually enhancing the worship space, reflecting the liturgical seasons through decorations, and creating a welcoming and beautiful environment. |
Ladies of Charity | Women of all professions, homemakers, and retirees of all ages who are motivated by the Holy Spirit to minister to the spiritual needs of those in the parish and surrounding community. |
Parish Outreach:
Fundraising | The fundraising committee is a group of parish volunteers who develop events to raise money for the church, but more importantly, promote mutual community camaraderie. |
Community and Diversity | The Community Committee is a group of parishioners who work together within our parish and with other Christian churches on the Northside of Pittsburgh to build community, serve others, and share the faith. |
Faith in Fellowship | Faith in Fellowship works on ways to strengthen and reinforce one's religious beliefs through shared experiences and community gatherings. |
Senior Ministry | Whether it is cooking and delivering delicious meals, baked cookies, or reaching out to our seniors via phone or card, the Senior Ministry allows you to share your wisdom, experience, and faith as you grow in your faith and serve others. |
Prayer Warriors | A Prayer Warrior is someone who prays for others and the needs of the parish. |
Liturgy and Worship | The Liturgy and Worship Focus Group is dedicated to the promotion of active participation in worship. |
Pastoral Council | Serving on the Pastoral Council means members actively listen to the needs of parishioners, providing feedback to the pastor and develop strategies that address the spiritual and community needs of the parish. |
Finance Council | The finance council monitors the parish's compliance with diocesan financial guidelines and in advises the pastor on financial matters. |
