In October 1973, thirty prolife leaders gathered in Nellie Gray’s home. They organized the first March for Life, January 22, 1974. An estimated 20,000 people marched.
Since that January, the March has taken place in Wash-ington, D.C. every January; even in several feet of snow.
The March draws hundreds of thousands to Washington D.C. to protest abortion in America, and to celebrate the right to life.
