The March will also be broadcast live on EWTN and rebroadcast the following day.
The first March for Life was held on January 22, 1974, in response to the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion for any reason at any time during pregnancy in all 50 states. It was organized in a few months and had an estimated 20,000 participants.
The March has taken place every year since. The largest pro-life event in the world, tens of thousands of pro-life people gather on the National Mall on the Roe v. Wade anniversary. These witnesses for life come from all across the country.
