Friday of the Fourth Week of Easter

May 8, 2020In the Gospel, Jesus says do not let your hearts be troubled, have faith in God (the Father), and Faith in me. Then he proceeds to tell us that He has prepared a place for us, and he is the way to get there.
He is the way the truth and the life. The truth, there is only one truth, the life, He gives eternal life by preparing a place for us. The important word here, the keyword is that He is the Way.
He is the directions to arrive in the place He has prepared for us. Therefore we should not be troubled about our future or insecure about our future. Our future is in Him if we allow it to be.
We live in a world of information at our fingertips, our phones, our computers, etc. In our present time, when we are going somewhere, we just put the address in our phone, and some people still have GPS in their cars, and step by step the GPS tells us how to get where we are going.
We have a GPS at our fingertips in order to get to heaven forever. The WTL (Way Truth Life), it is the Bible, it is Jesus Christ. Jesus taught and lived as He wants us to all live. If we follow Him step by step, we will arrive in eternity with Him. The Bible has a nice summary for us: The Ten commandments; The eight Beatitudes; and the seven sacraments.
If we follow these 24 steps, I say 24 because there are 25, but with the sacraments we usually receive 6, since some do not receive ordination or marriage. If we follow these 24 steps, we will be following the directions to Heaven.
We will have followed the truth, no other way to get there, we will be heading for life and we will arrive there with Joy for an eternal life of happiness.
