The Holy Father has proclaimed this year a “Year of Saint Joseph”, but how much do you know about his wonderful saint and loving father?
Christ Our Savior Parish will be conducting a 5-week study focusing on Saint Joseph at Saint Cyril Church starting Tuesday, May 4, at 6:30 pm and ending Tuesday, June 1.
Participants will be given the “Consecration to Saint Joseph: The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father” book meditation. Each session will examine Saint Joseph and his world (using a book by Mike Aquilina) and review important encyclicals and writings about Saint Joseph that complement the consecration meditations.
Attendance is free, but please register so that enough books can be ordered. To register, email office@cospgh.org or call 412-761-1552. This will be a fun and enriching study! All are welcome!
The Christ Our Savior Food Bank is located in the garage adjacent to Northside Catholic Assumption Academy on the campus of the Saint Cyril Worship Site in Brighton Heights.
It is held on the 2nd Monday of each month from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. The Food Bank is hoping to reach more people in need of our help. We have staples such as canned goods, cereals, pasta, and fresh fruits, vegetables, and bread courtesy of the St. Vincent de Paul “Spark of Hope”.
Call the parish office with any questions. Cash donations are accepted in the offertory basket at any time or can be made through a link on the parish website.
Food is collected in the Food Bank bin in the vestibule of each church. Any in-date food items can be left there. We are unable to use any out of date or opened containers.
Thank you for your help.
If you are in need of assistance for food or other assistance during this time of precautions, please call Mary at the office.
